Buster Keaton

Buster Keaton is a recurring theme. I dont know why. I first heard Remi Gaillard mention him as an inspiration and it just seems to have stuck in my mind.

“C'est en faisant n'importe quoi qu'on devient n'importe qui”

I started placing Keaton’s cement head around Johannesburg although the majority of them where destroyed. I suspect by the Pro “Fees Must Fall” movement. At the time there where many discussions about removing white colonialist statues from pubic spaces. I did not connect the two until seen the destruction of nearly 30 Keaton’s cement heads. Seems like Buster Keaton the comedians head got confused with a white colonialists from the past.
